DESCRIPTION:Lake100-PoliticalLDRDevProgramFlyer_FebMarAprMay2025 \nLAKE COUNTY’S PROSPEROUS TOMORROW IS CALLING YOU TODAY. \nIn fact\, if not YOU\, then who?  \nThis aptly named program is what almost every candidate asks themselves before filing to run for office\, but you don’t have to file to attend this valuable training. \nConsider this…  \nHere is a program that will show you how to USE YOUR BUSINESS EXPERIENCE TO ENCOURAGE PRO-BUSINESS POLICIES AS A FUTURE PUBLIC LEADER \n\nHere is a program that provides you the freedom to explore whether public leadership is right for you\nHere is a program that will then prepare and position you to transition from where you are to where you can confidently step into the starting line of a new leadership moment\n\nWe’re encouraged and honored by your interest in our upcoming inaugural 2025 Political Leadership Development Program: “If Not You\, Who?”. \nThe program’s purpose is to “build the bench” of business-experienced\, prospective\, elected and appointed leaders in Lake County. These leaders will be able to draw on their real-world business experience\, skills and talent to fulfill LAKE100’s mission to “promote economic growth\, enhance cultural and civic engagement and improve the overall quality of life\,” for all Lake County residents. \nSpecifically\, you’ll be introduced to proven strategies that will guide you\non how to: \n\ndefine your difference and where you can make it\novercome common obstacles to engagement\nelevate your public visibility in order to boost your credibility\ncreate momentum quickly with key political strategies\nand engage supporters\, but also prepare and protect your family \n\nStrategies will be taught in an active-learning NON-PARTISAN workshop format over FOUR individual DAYS over FOUR MONTHS. Each one-day session will run from 8:30am to 4pm with a working lunch provided\, and will include small-group discussions\, projects\, and simulated scenarios. \nUpon submission of your application\, confirmed eligibility\, and payment of your $250.00 enrollment fee\, there is still no commitment required for any participant to run for office or pursue an appointment. Also\, while this program is not a traditional campaign school for declared candidates\, political strategies will be discussed\, along with how YOU can best support and share your influence for the benefit of Lake County\, our citizens\, your kids\, and even their grandkids. \n  \nAdditional Details:  \n“If Not You\, Who?” requires an application. All applications received by January 30 will be reviewed by committee and attendees will be notified of their eligibility by February 3rd\, 2025. \nCourse dates are ONE DAY PER MONTH\, on Thursday\, February 13\, 2025; Thursday\, March 13\, 2025; Thursday\, April 10\, 2025\, and Thursday\, May 8\, 2025 from 8:30 – 4:00PM\, on each day. \nClasses will take place at the Venetian\, with the room to be announced. \nThe $250 enrollment fee for this program is non-refundable and attendance is expected at all four sessions. No prorated fee is available\, and absences will simply result in missed information\, with an opportunity to partner with a classmate to share notes. DESCRIPTION:Join us as Lynda Weatherman\, President & CEO of the Economic Development Commission Florida’s Space Coast shares about how to succeed when creating a county wide unified vision while leveraging the unique characteristics and charm of each city or town. \nLynda L. Weatherman\, as President & CEO of the Economic Development Commission of Florida’s Space Coast since 1994\, is responsible for the attraction of new business and investment and retention of existing industry throughout Florida’s Space Coast. Ms. Weatherman’s role also includes influencing change on government laws and regulations affecting economic development\, promoting the Space Coast to encourage new investment\, assisting industry in new market entry\, relaying new programs and procedures to assist manufacturing and high-tech companies\, and supporting efforts of Space Coast military installations\, which includes the retention of the Space Coast’s Naval Ordnance Test Unit through the reversal of a BRAC Commission decision. \nThe presentation will be followed by a segment on attracting pro-business local candidates to maintain a unified vision by Jeremy Sheftel. \nJeremy Sheftel is a veteran political operative with experience managing local\, congressional\, and statewide campaigns in some of the top battleground states across the country – including Florida\, Georgia\, Texas\, and Pennsylvania. Prior to joining AIF\, Jeremy served as Director of Political Strategy for a nationally recognized political strategy and public affairs firm. Jeremy served as campaign manager to former White House Physician and Senior Advisor to President Donald J. Trump\, Congressman Ronny Jackson (TX-13)\, and former Congressman Lou Barletta’s race for Pennsylvania Governor. \nJeremy has worked for many of Florida’s top political leaders and organizations over the years including Senator Marco Rubio\, Commissioner of Agriculture Adam Putnam\, Lt.
